i bought this to get it into wtb circulation. (i already own personal copies.) everyone needs a chance to read _the sandman_. _the sandman_ is one of the best things that has ever come out of the comic medium. (imnsho.) seriously. this the 3rd of the 10-volume collection, written by neil gaiman. it collects issues 17-20. if you wonder where writers' inspiration comes from ("calliope"), or like/fear cats ("a dream of a thousand cats") or enjoy shakespeare ("a midsummer night's dream") or wonder about death ("facade") -- this book has a story for you. i like some of the other stories from _the sandman_ series better, but you almost can't go wrong with anything from it. neil gaiman is a brilliant writer, and these bits are from fairly early in his rise to stardom. the artwork isn't always my favorite styles, but it's dark and usually fits the stories very well. the stories, though...incredible. enjoy.
